Inspired by her home country, Australia, Nicky Zimmermann’s revealed a collection, "Wild Botanica", featuring free flowing dresses with floral and feathered bird motifs. Zimmermann was influenced by Ellis Rowan's book, The Flower Hunter, and the use of light and color Rowan used in her paintings.
The concept of botanical art is presented throughout the collection. Tiered ruffles and balloon sleeves in soft hued tones looked dreamy as the models walked down a runway bordered with wild flowers and bushes. The opening look revealed a sunshine yellow dress with three dimensional flowers embedded onto the collar and bust of the dress. A collage of flowers native to Australia was aesthetically placed down the skirt of look 6. The entire collection was feminine, romantic, and exceptionally beautiful.
