Moschino AW 2019

I was recently interviewed by a masters student at the fashion institute in Milano about the interior design and collections of Moschino after Jeremy Scott became creative director in 2013, replacing Rossella Jardini.

Moschino opened its flagship store in Milan in the center of its fashion district in the summer of 2016. This white marble structure sits on Via Sant'Andrea and is dedicated to both women and menswear.

Just like Moschino's collection, there is nothing ordinary about this shop. With a 3.5 meter long mannequin lounging over the window sill, XXL Moschino handbags and iconic pumps at both corners of the store, oversized purse cutouts displaying the new collection of accessories in the wall, and giant fluffy teddy bears in signature logo, no one can miss this monumental Moschino museum.

Moschino is known for its dreamy surrealism, crazy pops of colors, and the glitz and glam of a 1940s showgirl.

Jeremy Scott showed his Fall collection on February 22, 2019 in Milano and everything was bigger and better than ever! The show revolved around the popular 1970's game show, The Price is Right, and his collection was all about $$$!

Inspired by the ensemble of the 70s models attending this game show, Jeremy Scott created a fabulous collection where the details were in the designs. The music of the game show sounded off and Kaia Gerber opened the show in a matching skirt set emblazoned with a whopping million dollar bill. Long fur coats, crystal embellished dresses, and candy colors with accents of black and gold sparkled down the runway. Models strutted out in giant wigs, flashy Barbie-like makeup, and lots and lots of glitter. "A pure old fashion escapism," Scott commented on the collection.

Well done Jeremy Scott — A truly remarkable collection this year!
